About Us

We are a small market garden located on our five-acre property in South Londonderry, Vermont. Our team includes Patty, Sam, Grace, and our beloved little dog, Maki! Nestled in the heart of the Green Mountains, between three ski resorts and multiple outdoor recreation areas, we have a deep love and respect for our natural surroundings.

As an extension of that love, we acknowledge that our market garden operates on the sovereign territory and homeland of the Elnu Traditional Band of the Abenaki Nation and People. We pay our respect and recognize the continued presence and influence of Abenaki culture and peoples in our region. As such we are committed to the process of learning to steward the land we inhabit.

Our market garden is named after our own black dog, Maki. We hope to capture some of her character and charisma in the work that we do and the products that we produce. These products include a diversity of vegetables, cut flowers, and naturally leavened breads. Our production practices reflect on our own journey towards health and wellbeing. We do not use pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or any other harmful additives. We aim to minimize soil disturbance in order to maintain a healthy soil microbiome and minimize erosion.
